One Year
My impression was having a skin tightening procedure six months after the chin and jaw reduction was long enough to remain patient. So I have waited the year. Though, even after a year, when I massage my chin and jaw I can still sense some slight residual swelling. There is slightly less swelling on the left side of my chin and jaw than the right side but both sides have some small swelling today.
I still also have some stiffness. The motion is most affected in an area that is an inverted triangle shape from the bottom of the chin, moving up covering most of the entire lower lip. While stiffness resides in the whole lower lip the most impact is in the center. There is also still a sensation of dysaesthesia in about 1 CM in the very center of the lower lip. It is not numb but does tingle when touched in this area.
Even, after a year, I still notice a slight improvement in the swelling, stiffness, and sensation as time passes.
After putting the camera away, I realize they are not perfect post-op photos with a profile image and hair pulled back. I apologize. I will try to find time to retake them. I did use a very high quality camera and lens taken from a distance over 6’.
Overall I am happy FT performed the revision. Thank you. It was the right decision. In my opinion, it has been a subtle but powerful improvement to my facial harmony and improved stereotypical feminine appearance. I wish my anatomy had allowed for an even more aggressive bone removal though I think the upcoming surgery of lower neck and face tightening will contribute to reducing the perceived mass of the lower face. Of course, I will also provide images of this result.
It has also been a year since the hairline revision. This change was a subtle but powerful improvement. It has been positive. Thank you.
For a full review, of the hairline revision, of positive and negative, my adverse answer is that I would still prefer the center of the hairline higher. The hairline is too flat and dips slightly in the center of my face. However, this can no longer be resolved, in my opinion, by filling in the temple areas on the periphery of the forehead as the hairline is already too low. The only solution would be lifting the center hairline with a brow-lift. (This procedure might also benefit my eyebrow position in the center in my opinion.) I realize laser or electrolysis could also be used. However, I would not want to lose any additional hair to this remedy. Additionally, permanently removing hair in this area risks revealing a scar.
