My first night out to dinner in Buenos Aires. It was with Becky and Jennell. (The perfect couple. The two of them, together, could start a computer gaming empire!) It was a wonderful evening. So nice to get out of the apartment after three full days in lock down. I have been in Buenos Aires One week. These photos are four days after surgery. I do have on a little makeup to hide some bruising and swelling. Even hyper-critical me has to admit the forehead is looking very good.

We ate at the Plaza Grill. It was a wonderful evening despite the uneven service we received and the quality of the food was only OK... but it was so nice to have someone wait on me and cook for me...be with new friends... and just sit there and chat and laugh.

Becky and I. Becky has so many great stories. (Don't tell anyone but, even after two shampoos, my hair is still caked with blood.)

Jennelle and I, Jennelle's surgery is tomorrow. She was remarkably well composed given that fact. I was a lonely blob of jello the night before mine.

Me, eating alone, at Sipan. Five Days after surgery, still looking a little disheveled. Hey, wait, what's that? Is that a halo above my head? That's freaky.

I accidentally ordered enough food for five people. And... I knew this was going to be a disaster... But I tried to order my favorite drink: Tequila Cosmopolitan. A Tequila Cosmopolitan is basically a normal Cosmopolitan but with tequila instead of vodka. Only, english speaking me, tried to communicate that to my, only spanish speaking, waiter. I think what I got instead was a Cosmopolitan with vodka AND tequila.

The the photo above was taken the day I arrived in Buenos Aires. The photo to the left was 11 days later, 7 days after surgery.

Becky and I went out to the Buenos Aires nightclub: Amerika. I was still feeling a little sluggish. But I am glad we pushed it. I went to bed at 9 PM and slept until just after midnight. We arrived at the club around 1:30 and things were just getting hopping. We left just before 4 AM. The place was packed.
